New Home

Our House in Duluth
After a short stop over in Vancouver, I arrived in Duluth Minnesota where I will base my training out of this summer. I am living with 4 other skiers on the College of Saint Scholastica Varsity team. When in Duluth I will be training with this team and getting coaching and support from head coach Chad Samela. Duluth seemed like a neat place when we came for college races in January and it is even better in the summer with great rollerskiing and mountain biking right out the front door.

After moving in and getting settled, I came out to Telemark to start my first training camp of the summer with Central Cross Country Vertical Limit team (CXC). We are living in the Telemark lodge and will spend 12 days here. The camp is pretty intensive, but with the good facilities and nice place to recover, it should be a success.

Today was the first full day which consisted of a 2:30 easy skate with 6x:30 race pace sprints for the morning and an afternoon general strength workout. Tomorrow we have a bounding workout scheduled for the morning and some technique in classic in the afternoon. The weather has been very warm so far with the high today hitting 34C or 93F. Will update with some pictures from the camp. Please pass my this site onto anyone who would be interested.
