Noram - Sovereign Lakes

After 2 weekends of Noram racing action I am feeling good about how the season started. Silverstar offered some beautiful winter training conditions and we got to train with the Swedish Distance National Team as they prepared for the World Cup races in Canmore.

Saturday was a so-so performance by me finishing 24th and over 3 minutes behind the winner. Sunday however, went well and I was able to get my first top-10 on the Noram circuit finishing in 9th, 1:40 behind the winner and fellow Yukoner Graham Nishikawa. David Greer also had a great race snagging 3rd place.

We are back in Canmore, in our comfortable cottage. I am really looking forward to checking out all this World Cup Action happening here in Canmore and cheering on teammate and overall stand-out guy David Greer. I will keep you posted! I will also be taking advantage of the break in racing to ski a little bit of volume, do some strength, and re-group after an intensive 4 races at altitude.

Thanks to my sponsors and supporters who enable me to race and improve in Canada.
